One day a few years ago I decided I wanted to learn all the capitals of all the countries in the world (why I would want to do this is a topic for a future blog post, and my next therapy session). While there are plenty of great quiz sites out there in the webospherenet, none of them quite had what I was looking for - tough quizzes that require you to recall the exact answer and assist you in practicing the questions you have the most trouble on.
First I made an excel spreadsheet. It worked quite well and I learned a lot of capitals. However, in this day and age of global interconnectedness and goodwill to all, it seemed a shame to not make it available for anyone in the world to use for free. Enter Udacity. First I completed the course "Introduction to Computer Science", and then "Web Development", and then I was able to code my spreadsheet into a webpage format. Brilliant!
